What RoofTester does

RoofTester shows radar-estimated hail sizes and public storm-spotter reports near an address you enter, and lets you ask for a no-cost roof inspection from an independent local roofing company. RoofTester is not an insurance company, insurance agent, or adjuster. We don’t handle insurance claims or give claim advice. Only your insurance company decides what your policy covers. RoofTester is not a roofing contractor and does not perform inspections or repairs.

Storm information

Hail sizes are computer estimates from NOAA radar and unverified public reports. They can differ from what fell at ground level. They are not an inspection and do not show that any property was damaged. We provide this information as is, with no warranty of accuracy.

Requesting an inspection

When you submit the inspection form, you ask RoofTester to share your name, phone, email, property address and the storm information shown to you with one local roofing company so it can contact you about a roof inspection. You are never required to hire anyone. The roofer is responsible for its own services, pricing, licensing and work.

Calls and text messages

If you check the consent box on the inspection form, you agree to calls and texts as described next to that box. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out and HELP for help. You can also email hello@rooftester.com to opt out.

Storm alerts

By checking this box, I agree that RoofTester may send me automated storm-alert text messages at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Up to 4 msgs per storm event. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
